What we do
At Barrier Construction, we help homeowners bring their remodeling projects to life – whether building out an unfinished basement, or adding a new addition – our process allows our clients to find the right balance between realizing their vision, while delivering value.
Our Process
Step 1 – Feasibility
Step 2 – Design Phase
After the initial meeting, a design agreement is drafted and work begins putting together construction plans, with a goal to clearly identify the scope of work and initial project pricing. Depending on the project – on an as needed basis, this process includes:
• Architectural Renderings
• Schematics and Construction plans
• Specifications
• Range Pricing
• Construction Agreement
Step 3 – Final Planning Phase
During the Final Planning Phase or Selection Phase, work begins to fine tune selections and finalize the project scope. Final pricing is obtained from suppliers and necessary subcontractors, and the permitting process is initiated. The goal here is to ensure everything possible is done to ensure the project is completed in a timely manner and on agreed budget.
• Design services
• Selections (fixtures, colors, hardware, accessories etc.)
• Permit feasibility
• Final Pricing
Step 4 – Construction Phase
Once the project plan and scope are finalized and agreed, the project enters the construction phase. Materials and fixtures are purchased, and a project timeline is established where the Project Manager begins to schedule both our internal carpenters, as well as any necessary subcontractors.
